Your goal can be for virtually any amount for anything you want. All you need to know to get started is about how much it will cost and when you want to reach your goal.

Steps You’ll Take

  • Give Your Goal a Name

    Name your goal something that is easily recognizable.

  • Select a Savings Category

    Choose from different savings categories. By selecting a category, we are better able to pinpoint the offerings most important to our customers.

  • Decide On an Amount to Save and When to Have It Saved By

    Your savings goals can be large or small. Goals can be set up for as little as $250 and as much as $250,000. Each goal needs an initial deposit of $25 to get started.

  • Link a Funding Source

    SmartyPig goals are funded by your current savings or checking account. You’ll need to have some bank info handy if you’re linking a funding source for the first time. Learn more about linking a funding source »

  • Choose How Often to Fund Your Goal

    You can choose the frequency of funding withdrawals: once a month, twice monthly, or every 14 days. Or set up your goal as a gift registry, so only others contribute.

  • Choose Whether to Accept Contributions

  • Choose How Much Info to Share

    You may control how much information you let people see about any goal you want to share.

  • Confirm Your Choices

    When everything looks good, confirm your new goal and start earning the most money for your money!
